Vaargebieden
The Netherlands consists of a large number of lakes and canals. A large part of the sailing routes can be found in
Friesland and Overijssel. Many routes can be found on the Internet. When you check in we will be very happy to tell you about the latest information and will point out the most beautiful places to stay for a night. You can sail around through these provinces to your heart’s content with a few exceptions. The routes will nearly always link up with other ones. Mapping out a fixed route is not really necessary.

Sneek

Sneek is principally famous as a centre for yachting and offers the yachtsman an almost unlimited supply of lakes, canals and waterways. Sneek is also know as "the watergate" town, becauseof the beautiful Watergate (1613) which is all that remainsof old defensive works. Whilst you are exploring the town pay a visit to the 18th century town hall and the Friesian Shipping Museum (Fries Scheepvaart Museum) which houses a superb collection of model ships, paintings and silverware (for more information see: www.sneek.nl).
